CAMCORDERS

camcordersThe word Camcorder is derived from two words i.e. "CAMera reCORDER" which is not considered as a complete digital device. It is equipped with video camera or video recorder purposely. Therefore, camcorders can only record the video and used videotapes for recording the movie. Camcorders makers are still called it as digital camcorders, but again come with videotape recording media (removable media). This is a wide difference between camcorders and digital cameras. Basically, camcorders are the earliest emerged of its previous film cameras, whereas digital cameras are the today's latest evolvement. Some companies started to work out on camcorders in the mid of 1999s particularly to replace the videotape media unit for storage which are optical disks, heard disk drives, and flash memories. Now, the camcorders are available with these thrice options of the medias like optical discs, flash memory and a hard disk drive. The hybrid camcorders are those camcorders which give the facility to have more than one media type.

More interesting thing is this that the present camcorders are the most refined shaped of studio cameras – both have a slight difference just studio cameras are standstill at a point which have been used perfectly for minute capturing of the ongoing sports scenes and for television broadcast. They are heavy in size framed on its tripod stand for easy reliability to the cameraman.

The present camcorders are reshaped and reduced by size, but have a blunt defect that recording can never be so immovable and clear due to capturing through your two or three fingers support because of the fact i.e. actions on your heart beats pave your fingers in motion become tricky to overcome this natural fact. As technology has been advanced, due to the inventions of the necessities like whenever outside the studio recording had to be made then always needed remote or compact video cameras that would be hand carry type at least so the manufacturer analyzed and started to work out on making remote or portable video cameras and made many models used for time to time being but discarded or vanished side-by-side at the minimum use as the next model had been available in the market. The recording units which were detachable called JVC or VHS for mobile work. During its progression period, cable-free recording unites were also came to see which much caused for easement to the cameraman that is called the Betacam system introduced by the Sony in 1982. Afterward, we found mini shape of JVC release of VHS-C format recording media introduced by the Hitachi in 1985. Subsequently, we had D1, DCT, DV, MiniDV cassettes, DVCPRO HD with DV codec to support High Definition, XDCAM, SxS, and P2 (solid memory cards for recording) by 2007.

Anyways, camcorders have always been involved in three features which are lens, image, and recorder. There is a relation among these three main features. The lens is basically used to capture and focus light on targeted point or area on the imager. The imager then imprints and converts into an electrical signal. And last feature of camcorders, i.e. recorder finally converts the electrical signal into video and encodes it into a storable form. That's it.
